Lilydale Baptist Church has four Elders. The Elders bring a wealth of experience and gifts to serve the church. Elders have the opportunity to oversee the spiritual health of the church, ministering as the Spirit of God leads them. The influence of Elders is over the whole church.
The Elders have permission to speak into the life of the Pastoral team, in particular in the area of preaching and teaching.
The Elders have taken on the responsibility of the prayer ministry of the church by being available for prayer on request or as the need arise, participating in pastoral prayer, prayer email and emergency phone prayer chain. The Elders are involved in calling the church to corporate prayer as occasions arise.

Leadership
The Leadership Team of Lilydale Baptist Church comprises the Lead & Co Pastors and lay members elected at an Ordinary Church Meeting. This team is responsible to oversee the overall spiritual health of the congregation and has executive authority in major decisions. The Leadership Team devises and monitors the church vision and implementation plan as well as the annual budget including the monitoring of income and expenditure. The team includes the Church Secretary and Treasurer. The Pastoral Team is accountable to this team for his or her leadership of the church.
